Training the Creative Mind in the Age of AI
Alongside her professional work, Seema has published three thought-provoking books on creativity and creative thinking: Read Nothing in Here, Write Nothing in Here, and The New Creatives. In her latest book, The New Creatives, she explores the impact of AI on creatives, our creative thinking, and the creative industry as a whole. Across all three books, she examines the value of ideation, reflection, friction, and restraint as essential conditions for original ideas.
While AI has made creating faster and easier, Seema believes creativity should never become frictionless. When tools do too much of the thinking for us, we risk weakening our own creative muscle.
“Creativity lives in how we think, question, and connect, not in tools or outputs. It needs space, resistance, and human perspective to stay alive.”
