With over 20 years of experience, a PhD in Human Factors, and a unique approach that combines neuroscience, design, and systems thinking, Dr Melis Senova is an industry leader in human-centred design. Over the course of her career, she has founded an award-winning strategic design firm, has been appointed to various boards of the Australian government in regards to innovation and was part of the task force that established the Australian Space Agency in 2019.

This Human, her previous book, has become an integral part of various graduate school reading lists, including Stanford Her work history spans everything from the digitization of services to the design of new IT infrastructures, with her clients ranging from local, state, and federal governments to large-scale corporations. 

Melis has lived and worked in New York and Amsterdam and currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.
