I absolutely love this book. A friend told me this is the best contemporary book on sustainability and sustainable living by miles, so I was very curious. And she was so right! From the moment I started reading I learned so many great new things, big and small, that made my life and my family's just better.
The author's obviously an expert, but her story and tips and examples are very concrete and easy to do and follow. From reducing our impact on the environment to making healthy and fair choices in food, apparel, travel and home life. Along the way I learned new insights on body liberation, climate and anti-racism movements in a very accessible way. She really pulled me in with her personality and witty style of writing. It made me get new ideas and new energy to actually carry them out. There were moments when reading that I found myself smiling.
And I don't want to sound superficial, but the book looks absolutely beautiful as well, inside and out. There's nobody who saw it on my kitchen table that didn't grab it and start to browse. So it is a good conversation starter and makes a great present. TL;DR: Do yourself a favour and read this.
