Hulshoff Pol is director of Unseen Photo Fair & Festival. Before becoming director as of September 2015, Hulshoff Pol was the founder and manager of the Education Department at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Hulshoff Pol has years of experience in communicating with a broad range of audiences in the field of contemporary art, including photography and design. With a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and two Masters both in Communication and Art Science, she champions experimentation and develops new ways to spark the public’s interest in art. As manager of the Education Department Hulshoff Pol initiated programmes such as the artists workshops, a peer education programme for young talents (Blikopeners) and 'Unforgettable Stedelijk', a program for people with Alzheimer and their caretakers.

Hanna Piksen is at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam responsible for the popular workshops with artists on Sunday. Thousands of children have participated in these workshops already. With her background in art history and experience as a tour guide, she knows that the most valuable things happen when the unexpected is enabled. And that everyone is creative. This also helps out in the Familielab, a creative space for families in the museum, and in the other manifestations of the Family program. The book Create with Artists brings this philosophy within the reach of not only families, but also to anyone who is looking for a creative boost.
