Galit Ariel is a creative and strategic thinker with international leadership experience in industrial design, retail & fashion, and education.
Galit started her professional career in Milan – as an industrial designer for various top-tier studios and clients (Armani, Lexon, Nava, Nestlé, Mandarina Duck and Merati to name a few). Later, she was recruited for a design and concept management role in the Netherlands. Once she had honed her multidisciplinary expertise, she formed a boutique consultancy that provides concept creation, brand formation and product creation services. Galit has provided strategic design consultation to international agencies and brands within product, luxury, retail, content and experience creation. She has also lectured on brand and business strategy – eventually heading the Fashion & Branding department at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI).
Galit completed her education at world-leading universities within the creative arts –a Bachelor degree in Product Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (UK) in 2001, and a Master’s degree in Design Management from the Savannah College of Art and Design (USA) in 2016. Throughout her studies, she examined the development and implementation strategies of technology through a user-focused cultural and societal lens. Her MA thesis focused on Augmented Reality, identifying its past and present implementation gaps, and developing a strategic framework to drive its successful adoption. Based on the outcome, she was encouraged to pursue her vision, developing and communicating her insights through content platforms, including her first book, which will be published in the first half of 2017. Galit’s keynote speech about Augmented Reality – at the Dutch Innovation Platform at the international entertainment and technology conference South by Southwest (#SXSW17) – has brought attention to her work from across the globe.
